Major Smart Grid conference comes to Manchester
Registration is now open for a major international conference hosted by the The University of Manchester. The 2nd IEEE PES International Conference and Exhibition on 'Innovative Smart Grid Technologies - Europe 2011' will take place from the 5th-7th December, hosted by the School of Electrical and Electronic Engineering and held at Manchester Central Complex. This will be one of the largest conferences on Smart Grids in Europe this year, with 16 keynote - speeches, 28 panels, over 250 abstracts accepted, and over 500 delegates expected to attend. With delegates from over 40 countries world wide, this is will be a truly international forum for the participants to address and discuss the state-of-the-art innovation in smart grids. Delegates will be able to find out about recent developments in Smart Grids technologies in Europe as well as globally. "This is the most important conference in Smart Grids in Europe in 2011,” said Peter Crossley, University of Manchester (Technical Programme Chair).
