Nearly 580 Expected for International Summer School

This summer Ruperto Carola will host nearly 580 young people from 56 countries around the world. They will be attending the International Summer School of German Language and Culture from 2 to 29 of August 2018. The courses are designed for students and others from abroad who wish to learn German or broaden their existing language skills. This year's umbrella theme is "Germany and Europe in the Context of Global Developments". The summer school will open on Thursday, 2 August 2018, in the Great Hall of the New University. As in prior years, three different course tracks are on offer - classes in elementary, intermediate, and advanced German; a course for non-native GFL teachers and German majors; and a "Business German" course. In addition to the morning core language classes, participants can attend a variety of course-related classes and general lectures such as "Everyday German Culture in the European Context", and workshops in journalism, video production, photography or theatre.
