Three women talking on the Wilkins Terrace at UCL UCL has published a new policy and agreed on an initial five-year action plan to create campuses that are inclusive, welcoming and accessible to everyone in our community. The Inclusive Environments Policy and accompanying five-year action plan have been passed by UCL's Operations Committee. These set out a clear framework for ensuring our buildings, facilities and services are designed and delivered in a way that meet the needs of all our students, staff and visitors, and for removing barriers that prevent anyone from being able to participate equally, confidently and independently in their activities across our campuses and venues wherever possible. Developed through a thorough consultation with our staff and students, this is the first policy of its kind to be agreed at an institutional level, demonstrating our commitment and strategic approach to inclusivity and diversity. The policy makes it clear how relevant teams at UCL are accountable for delivering the action plan, while recognising that providing an inclusive environment is the shared responsibility of our whole community.
