No proper treatment without sound diagnostic

A long-term partnership managed to reform radiology services in Egypt and to ensure the access of Egyptian citizens to save and performing imaging diagnostics. Services have been improved in 220 hospitals throughout the country. Today, about 1.8 million people profit from substantially enhanced radiology services each year. Good quality and accessible healthcare is crucial for the social and economic development of any country and in particular of paramount importance in Egypt where the population is growing at a high rate and where chronic diseases are on the rise. The Egyptian-Swiss collaboration in Diagnostic Radiology was given a mandate through the Swiss State Secretariat for Economic Affairs (SECO) to improve an important field in healthcare, with a clear view to benefit the population covered by the Ministry of Health and Population. The evaluation has demonstrated the success of this multi-component project with a reach to 220 hospitals throughout the country. Today, about 1.8 million population benefit from substantially enhanced radiology services each year.
