Researchers win major health grants
ANU health researchers have won major project funding from the National Health and Medical Research Council (NHMRC). Elizabeth Hanna of the National Centre for Epidemiology and Population Health has won $730,661 toward her project, Climate Change Impacts on Workplace Heat Extremes: Health Risk Estimates and Adaptive Options . Danielle Butler of the Australian Primary Health Care Research Institute received a $109,358 NHMRC Postgraduate Scholarship. The funding will contribute to her project, A geographic approach to measuring social deprivation and health care need for primary health care policy and planning . The funding results were announced by Minister for Health Tanya Plibersek.
