Review of Durham river safety makes recommendations A full review of riverside safety in Durham City, carried out by the Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents (RoSPA), has been published today. The report praises the partnership response to concerns raised and outlines measures for further improvements. The report, which is published here , was commissioned by Durham's City Safety Group* and involved RoSPA making a series of inspections of riverbank areas as well as considering education programmes involving students and other guardianship measures. The report was jointly funded by Durham University and Durham County Council.
