Foto: Universität Leipzig - Focusing on research again in times of the omnipresent war in Ukraine, talking shop with like-minded people or just thinking about something else - the reasons for Ukrainian researchers to participate in the Chance for Science conference are as diverse as the range of topics that will be discussed. For the second time this year, Professor Carmen Bachmann from Leipzig University is inviting participants to the virtual conference on 8 and 9 September, the largest of its kind in Europe. Chance for Science aims to connect students, professors and academics from Ukraine with German colleagues and fellow students. In ten-minute presentations, they will share information about their current research topics as well as master's theses or doctoral dissertations they have started. Afterwards, they will enter into a dialogue with the conference participants from Germany. A total of 296 participants have registered so far, but only five are from Germany.
