The promise of microbubbles

UCL is a leading centre for research on microbubbles ? miniature bubbles of gas that can remain suspended in liquid for an extended period of time. In this video marking National Science and Engineering Week, Dr Stride describes how they might be used to transform medical imaging and targeted drug delivery. UCL's Grant Museum of Zoology is opening its doors between 10am and 4pm on Saturday 20 March as part of National Science and Engineering Week 2010. The museum has organised a 'fossil forage' for visitors to sieve through fossil-rich sediment from a time when London was patrolled by sharks and rays. They will also be able to explore the amazing fossils from prehistoric creatures with interactive specimen-based games and meet real-life palaeontologists.
