Trustee role for King’s History Professor

Professor Ludmilla Jordanova, from the Department of History, has been appointed a Trustee of the National Museum of Science and Industry (NMSI). As a trustee Professor Jordanova will offer her advice and services to the NMSI over a four-year period. Professor Jordanova joined King's in 2006 as Professor of Modern History. She is a pre-eminent historian of science and medicine and was President of the British Society for the History of Science from 1998 to 2000. She served as President of the History of Science Section of the British Association for the Advancement of Science in 2006 and was a Trustee of the National Portrait Gallery from 2001 to 2009. Professor Jordanova said: 'It is a great honour to be appointed a Trustee of the National Museum of Science and Industry. This major national and international institution plays a central role in bringing an understanding of science, medicine and technology - and their fascinating pasts - to wider publics.
