TU Diversity Project 2016

There will be special opportunities relating to the various items under "Diversity", as part of the human resources development programme. Please register now! The goal of diversity management is to strengthen the positive overall atmosphere at the TU Wien, to prevent social discrimination of persons and to improve equal opportunities. The focus is not, however, on the minorities itself, but rather on staff members as a whole, with their individual differences and similarities. On the one hand, these differences include those that are outwardly perceptible, of which the most important are gender, ethnicity, age and disabilities - and on the other hand, subjective differences such as sexual orientation, religious beliefs and ideology. Diversity management has the goal to not only emphasize and celebrate the diversity of staff members, but also attempt to utilise it for the organisation's success. TU Wien considers diversity management as very important which is also in TU Vision 2025+ process reflected: - What is TU Wien`s strategy/approach to this topic? How/where is the strategy communicated? What measures/projects are to be implemented at an operational level? What framework conditions and structures are necessary for this? What indicators and instruments are needed to evaluate the strategy's effectiveness? How does TU Wien wish to be perceived externally? - Many members of TU Wien have already dealt with these questions successfully and as experts in the past, which gave rise to both strategic documents and concrete measures.
