Black History Month wording on green background with UCL logo Black History Month 2022 at UCL is underway, with a series of talks and events. We couldn't miss this opportunity to revisit some of UCL's podcasts about Black lived experience, that highlight the diversity within our community and also tackle broader questions. For Black History Month 2022 we're celebrating the achievements, rich history, cultural heritage and the legacy of people of Afro- Carribean heritage with a roster of informative events and talks. In addition to these activities, we thought it would be a good opportunity to showcase some podcasts that not only highlight black lived experience, but also approach wider systemic questions about racialization and racism. Our approach is wide-ranging, considering the global and also the local, as we feature voices from our own UCL community. We've decided to focus on three main podcast series to mark Black History Month. Halle McCarthy, Senior Campaigns Officer, who manages and oversees podcasts elaborates more about these choices. " It is clear there is a wealth of lived experience, talent, and compelling testimony amongst members of UCL's Black community.
