Partnership to focus on promoting and investigating the Colombian peace process The universities in Leipzig and Bogotá, Colombia have signed a cooperation agreement. In it, the two educational institutions pledge to cooperate closely in a number of academic fields. The documents were signed by Professor Sergio Andres Pulgarin Molina, Vice-Rector of the Universidad del Rosario, and Professor Beate Schücking, Rector of Leipzig University, each at their respective universities due to the pandemic. "We have already had excellent experience working with one of the largest Colombian universities," said Rector Schücking. "The peace process in particular, which was initiated in 2016, offers a wide range of opportunities for knowledge transfer for researchers as well as students from both countries." According to the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD), Colombia ranks second behind Brazil with a good 3500 Latin American students enrolled at German universities.
