University of Nottingham climbs up the QS World University Rankings
A truly rounded university experience has been credited for the University of Nottingham consolidating its position among the top 100 universities in the world. According to the 2019 QS World University Rankings the University of Nottingham has climbed two places to be ranked 82nd in the world and is 15th out of just 76 UK universities included in the table. Professor Shearer West, Vice-Chancellor and President at the University said: "Nottingham has continued to demonstrate excellence in both teaching and research and we are proud of our reputation for being one of the best universities in the country for graduate employability. "The talent and commitment of our staff underpins this latest rankingwhether this be academic staff being cited on papers, careers teams inspiring the next generation of researchers or those improving the way in which our students live and learn. "Our world-leading, globally connected university, continues to attract a high calibre of staff and students from around the world. I have no doubt that we offer a truly rounded university experience and this ranking is further evidence of that." The most recent rankings particularly emphasise Nottingham's employer reputation which is ranked among the top 100 in the world.The University is consistently named as one of the most targeted institutions by leading graduate employers and was also named as University of the Year for Graduate Employment in the 2017 Times and The Sunday Times Good University Guide.
