VentureLab gets exported to China

The student incubator at Lund University, VentureLab, is opening a branch at Zhejiang University in Hangzhou. The university, which is ranked number three in China, is located in one of China’s large clusters for new companies and industries. The new collaboration means that the step over to China becomes a little shorter for young entrepreneurs at Lund University. Johan Johnsson, the director of VentureLab Lund , was present at the inauguration of VL (Venturelab) Hangzhou in China and has worked to adapt the concept to Chinese conditions. "The good relations and networks that have been established can provide impetus to the students' ideas and projects. The Swedish students will be able to get help with everything from translation to and testing their ideas on the Chinese market", he says. The Hangzhou region is one of China's largest clusters for industry and companies; among other things, half of the world's spectacle lenses are ground here.
