Warwick hosts Indonesian scholars’ conference

Indonesian Scholars International Convention and the Overseas Indonesian Students' Association Alliance International Symposium (ISIC-SI) hosted at University of Warwick. 1,500 students and researchers took part in networking and collaboration activities to tackle theme "Accelerating Indonesia's National Potential Towards 2030" Key-note speakers included significant Indonesian government ministers and cultural figures Award-winning pop star TULUS performd number-one hits at his first Indonesian concert ever in the UK. The Indonesian Scholars International Convention and the Overseas Indonesian Students' Association Alliance International Symposium have this week been hosted this week by the Indonesian Students Association in the United Kingdom (PPI UK) at the University of Warwick. The combined event - ISIC-SI - provided a medium for Indonesian students to exchange ideas, build a network, and collaborate on personal, academic, and professional level. 1,500 students and researchers - including student leaders from fifty-one countries and five top public universities in Indonesia - had been invited to the event. Prominent key-note speakers at ISIC-SI includes: Richard Graham MP (UK Trade Envoy to Indonesia and Chairman of the Indonesia All Party Parliamentary Group) Sudirman Said (Former Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources) Tri Rismaharini (Mayor of Surabaya City) Yanuar Nugroho (Deputy of the Office of the Presidential Staff) Didiet Maulana (Designer and Founder of IKAT) Andea Hirata (Writer of Rainbow Troops) Budiman Sudjatmiko (Indonesia's MP) Dian Pelangi (Fashion Designer) Handry Satriago (CEO of GE Indonesia) Together, they tackled the theme "Accelerating Indonesia's National Potential Towards 2030".
