Womenspire Awards shortlist

University academics recognised in 'vibrant celebration of women in Wales'. Four University academics have been shortlisted for a series of national awards set-up to celebrate the achievements of Welsh woman. The brand new Womenspire Awards are recognition of women in Wales who are doing extraordinary things as part of their everyday lives. Professor Karen Holford , Pro Vice-Chancellor, College of Physical Sciences & Engineering has been shortlisted for a ' Women in Education ' award. This award highlights the work being carried out in schools, FE and HE to ensure everyone has the broadest opportunities possible. Professor Holford said: " Chwarae Teg's vision is a Wales where women achieve and prosper. I moved to Wales at the age of 18 and have certainly found this to be the case.
