INFECTIOUS DISEASES FACULTYRequisition # 75842Position BasicsType of Position CLINICAL-TRACK Advertising Ends on: Extended Until Position is Filled Advertising Started on: Friday, January 16th, 2026 College: Carver College of Medicine Department: Internal MedicineSalarySalary: CommensuratePosition DetailsFull/Part Time Status: Negotiable Position Description:The University of Iowa Department of Internal Medicine Division of Infectious Diseases is seeking an ABIM board eligible or board-certified Infectious Diseases physician at the rank of Clinical Assistant Professor, Clinical Associate Professor, or Clinical Professor. This position will involve inpatient and outpatient consultative care for general Infectious Disease patients at the University of Iowa Heath Care Medical Center on the University campus, Medical Center Downtown (community setting), and possible limited time at Medical Center North Liberty (Orthopedic-ID consultation). An outpatient component of staffing the virology clinic (HIV clinic) and/or Travel Clinic is available if desired. Education Requirement: Individuals under consideration must have a M.D. or equivalent degree. Certifications: Candidates must be ABIM board eligible, or board certified in Infectious Diseases. Desirable Qualifications: Desirable qualifications include evidence of strong clinical skills and a record of excellent interpersonal skills and positive interactions with students, staff and faculty.
