Description of the workplace and project

The research group is part of the Medical Faculty and the Institution for Clinical Sciences Lund University in Malmö. The group consist of 3 PhD candidates, 2 postdocs and does research on various aspects of anesthesia and intensive care. The group is headed by associate professor Peter Bentzer and the research areas include fluid therapy in the critically ill and sustainable intensive care and anesthesia. We are based at the Biomedical Centre in Lund.

Ongoing projects include the Protocolized reduction of non-resuscitation fluids ( REDUSE ) trial and the Implementing climate and environmental outcomes in trials ( ICE ) projects.

Work duties and responsibilities

You will be expected to work as a member of the international ICE group and contribute to a systematic review of how environmental outcomes are reported in clinical trials. You will also develop a statistical analysis plan for the assessment of the environmental impact of the two treatment strategies in the REDUSE trial.

Qualifications

To be eligible for the position, you must:

  • Have a PhD degree in medicine or environmental science
  • Be able to independently perform life cycle analysis
  • Be able to independently perform statistical analysis of life cycle analysis data
  • Have at least a basic knowledge in the methodology of systematic reviews
  • Have experience in translational research


Additional qualifications for the position are:

  • An interest to communicate the importance of sustainable medicine to relevant stakeholder

About the employment

The position is a full time, fixed term position (SÄVA) for 10 months, starting according to agreement.
