Associate Director, Assets and Maintenance
Position Description Classification: Senior Manager 2 Salary package: Competitive salary package plus 17% superannuation Terms: Full time, Continuing Position overview The mission of the Campus Environment Division is to enable academic excellence at The Australian National University through integrated and innovative facilities and project delivery. The Division comprises five key portfolios: Operations, Infrastructure and Planning, Corporate, Environmental Sustainability, and University House. The Associate Director, Assets and Maintenance is a senior leadership role within the Operations Portfolio, responsible for strategic asset management, maintenance planning, and landscape and conservation services across the University. This role ensures the delivery of safe, sustainable, and high-performing campus environments aligned with The Australian National University’s mission and values. You will lead multidisciplinary teams across maintenance, WHS, and landscape services, manage large budgets, and drive innovation through data and technology integration. This position plays a key role in shaping the University’s physical environment and ensuring compliance with statutory obligations and best practice frameworks. Campus Environment maintains and enhances the University’s physical environment, creating and maintaining sustainable state-of-the-art facilities,Ölandscape and infrastructure across multiple locations. Campus Environment’s remit includes major construction projects, engineering services, commercial leasing, venues and accommodation, safety and compliance, and environmental sustainability. The Operations Portfolio is responsible for managing and coordinating the delivery of operational services within the Division. This includes Sustainability programs and projects, as well as the management of Cleaning, Waste, Recycling, Gardens and Grounds, Security, and Remote Sites.
