Durham academic becomes BMA president

Durham University's Professor Pali Hungin has been inaugurated as the new president of the British Medical Association (BMA). Professor Hungin takes on the role after a distinguished career as a General Practitioner (GP) and in clinical research, particularly into the early diagnosis of long term conditions. He will fulfil the role for the coming year alongside his position as Professor of Primary Care and General Practice in the School of Medicine, Pharmacy and Health at Durham University. Research and clinical perspectives Professor Hungin brings perspectives from both primary and secondary care as well as academia.
