Harun Fajkovic takes over professorship for urological-oncological surgery

Harun Fajkovic, Deputy Head of the Department of Urology at MedUni Vienna and Vienna General Hospital, has taken up a professorship in Urological-Oncological Surgery (§99(1)) at MedUni Vienna as of the beginning of May. In 2011, Harun Fajkovic completed a fellowship in urologic oncology at Weill Cornell Medical College in New York, USA. This experience gave him a broader perspective and helped him to establish himself as an expert in the field of urologic oncology. He joined the University Department of Urology at the Medical University of Vienna in June 2013. Currently, he holds the position of deputy director and senior consultant. Focus on studies and residency - In addition to his clinical and scientific activities, his special focus is on teaching at the Medical University of Vienna and the training of residents at the Department of Urology. As a lecturer at the Medical University of Vienna, he holds numerous lectures, seminars and workshops for medical students, in which he successfully conveys complex urological topics in an understandable manner.
