Magical marks at King's Maths School

Students celebrated their AS level results today at King's College London Mathematics School, with over 97% attaining an A grade in Mathematics. All 69 students at the specialist state-funded School for mathematicians aged 16-19, have been selected for their particular enthusiasm and aptitude for Mathematics, and received their results along with around 300,000 students across the country. Students take Maths, Further Maths, Physics and Computing, and results in Maths and Further Maths are particularly impressive, with A-grades in these subjects at an impressive 90%. 72% of the students achieved AAB or higher, suggesting that they can expect to enter the UK's top universities when they complete their studies next year. Students at the flagship school attained on average two grades higher overall than the average attained by similar students across the country, putting the school in the very top levels of schools across the country when comparing students' GCSE results to their AS results. Dan Abramson, Headteacher at the School said, 'I want to congratulate every single student at King's Maths School on their fantastic achievements today. Their results are a real testament to their hard work and they should all be very proud.
