MedAT admissions procedure to study medicine 15,788 applications

The end of March was the deadline for applications to take part in the joint admission procedures for the medical universities in Vienna, Innsbruck and Graz as well as the Medical Faculty of Johannes Kepler University in Linz. This will be the tenth year that this procedure has been used. By 31 March 2022, a total of 15,788 people has registered for the entrance exam to be held on 8 July. In March 2021, there were 17,823 registered candidates. The application figures in detail - Medical University of Vienna: a total of 7,881 applications (2021: 8,713) - 7,240 for medicine, 641 for dentistry. The gender break-down is: 2,889 male (2021: 3,123) and 4,992 female (2021: 5,590). Medical University of Innsbruck: a total of 3,350 applications (2021: 3,951) - 3,055 for medicine, 295 for dentistry.
