National Science Week at ANU
National Science Week is a celebration of science research around Australia. This year, National Science Week is being held from 14-22 August, with a range of events and activities. To celebrate, ANU will host a number of events that are free and open to the public. Learn about the art of espionage in white lab coat/black trench coat: the science of spying or discover the issues which divide skeptics . Antarctic explorer and environmental scientist, Tim Jarvis, will talk about his expedition to Antarctica in when hell freezes . Explore microscopic worlds in 3D with Dr Kerry Swanson and the changing climate of Canberra with climatologist, Clem Davis. Dr Peter Wothers will present burning issues , the science of combustion and an explanation of why some things burn quietly but others explode violently..warning loud bangs!
