Professor Rick Trainor, King's Principal and Dr Frances Dow, Chair of the Marshall Aid Commemoration Commission recently signed an agreement that makes the College one of Marshall's University Partners. As a result, King's will jointly fund one scholarship at masters or doctoral level per year, this will be in addition to the existing awards offered by the Commission, which will continue to be available. Professor Vaughan Robinson, Director of the Graduate School, said 'I am delighted we are strengthening and deepening the relationship we have with Marshall. The Marshall Scholarships have allowed us to attract some outstanding postgraduate students who have gone on to become leaders in their fields. This year King's is hosting four Marshall Scholars, the most we have ever had. These include Emma Wu studying for an MSC in Neuroscience; Benjamin Zintak studying for an MA in Science and Security; Michael Campbell studying for an MA in Conflict, Security and Development and Matthew Clawson studying for an MA in International Conflict Studies. We welcome all these Scholars to King's and are particularly pleased that we have our first Marshall Scholar working in the Health Schools.' Details of postgraduate funding opportunities at King's can be found at www.kcl.ac.uk/graduate/funding/database and information on the Marshall Scholarships can be found at www.marshallscholarship.org
