We welcomed over 10,000 visitors to our campus on 9 September who were keen to find out more about the University of Leeds.
The event played host to people who had flown in from all over Europe and also closer to home such as Wakefield and Lancaster to come and see what Leeds has to offer. The Open Day gave prospective students the opportunities to meet our staff and staff and see what the University has to offer from Art and Design to Zoology with everything including Law, Business, Engineering, Languages, Medicine, Humanities and Sciences in-between. There was also the chance to experience firsthand what it would be like to be a student at the University and attend guest lectures by leading academics on a range of subjects from "Food allergy - what do we know, what don't we know?" to "Listening to the Heartbeat of Volcanoes". Visitors had the the opportunity to see accommodation, find out about finance, visit the students' union, tour The Edge (our brand new £13m sports centre) and much more. "I was impressed by the Leeds campus and everything that the University has to offer" Laura (Geophysics), Lancaster If you weren't able to come to the open day there are still opportunities to visit the campus at www.leeds.ac.uk/visitus
