Renata Galatolo is a researcher and professor specializing in the psychology of communication. After obtaining a PhD in Semiotics in 1999 at the University of Bologna, with a thesis entitled "Le malentendu dans l'échange communicatif" ("Misunderstanding in communicative exchange"), she pursued an academic career at the University of Bologna. She first worked as a researcher in communication psychology in the Department of Communication Disciplines at the University of Bologna. Since 2023, she is an adjunct professor in the Department of Arts at the University of Bologna. She also holds a Master's degree and a D.E.A.
