Schahram Dustdar
An Honor with a History - The Board of Directors at the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE), the world's largest association for the advancement of technology, conferred the status of IEEE Fellow to Schahram Dustdar, Full Professor at the Faculty of Informatics. This distinction, which is given to less than 0.1% of voting members annually, was awarded to Schahram Dustdar for his contributions to elastic computing for cloud applications. The IEEE grade of Fellow has been awarded to IEEE members for more than five decades after a rigorous evaluation of their achievements. It honors extraordinary accomplishment in any of the association's fields of interest. Shaping the Future with Informatics research - Schahram Dustdar is Full Professor of Computer Science (Informatics) with a focus on Internet Technologies heading the Distributed Systems Group at the TU Wien. His research interests include Elastic Computing, Internet of Things (IoT), Services/Cloud Computing, Complex-, Autonomic-, and Adaptive Systems, and Context-aware Computing. Schahram Dustdar's excellent research work has resulted in various prestigious memberships and awards.
