Sebastien Dauvé Named CEA-Leti CEO

G RENOBLE, France - July 1 st - CEA-Leti, a technology research institute of CEA, today announced that Sebastien Dauvé has been named CEO, succeeding Emmanuel Sabonnadiere. Sebastien Dauvé was named Director of CEA-Leti effective on July 1, 2021, after more than twenty years of experience in microelectronics technologies and their applications, including clean mobility, medicine of the future, and cybersecurity. As CEA-Leti's chief executive officer, S. Dauvé leads the activities of one of Europe's largest microand nanotechnologies research institutes, which employs 1,900 scientists and engineers, has a portfolio of 3,000 patents, and has launched more than 70 startups. "Hardware is definitely back in the tech-industry spotlight: from MedTech, power electronics for e-vehicules, to telecommunication networks and IoT, the semiconductors play an ever-larger role in our society" S. Dauvé said. "CEA-Leti multidisciplinary teams have a solid technological expertise coupled with advanced platforms to help make the necessary shift towards sustainable electronics, while continuing on delivering greater performance, downsizing form factor and lowering cost. I am very excited to be part of one of the greatest challenge of all times." - Sebastien Dauvé started his career at the French Armament Electronics Center, where he worked on developing synthetic-aperture radar. In 2003, he joined CEA-Leti as an industrial transfer manager and supervised several joint research laboratories, in particular with the multinational Michelin.
