Photo: UHH/Lutsch The Main Building of the University - Since the beginning of the pandemic over 3 semesters ago, classes in the over 170 degree programs at Hamburg's largest university took place almost entirely digitally, with in-person teaching resuming again only last winter semester. When the Summer Semester 2022 lecture period begins again on 4 April, in-person teaching should once again become the norm. The University is thus complying with the resolution by the Ministry of Education and Cultural Affairs. Individual faculties and teaching staff decide on how exactly to offer classes while taking the current pandemic situation into consideration. Individual courses may continue to be conducted digitally or in hybrid form provided that doing so makes sense for subject-specific or educational reasons. Proof of 3G (vaccinated, recovered, or tested) is no longer required to attend in-person classes. However, you are still required to wear masks in all University buildings and to observe the familiar distancing and hygiene regulations as far as possible.
