UCL academics recognised in 2019 Progress 1000

The Evening Standard's annual list of London's most influential people features UCL academics working across diverse industries including biotech, cybersecurity and health. The list aims to spotlight and celebrate the capital's most influential people. Being from, or living in, London is not necessary to be considered for inclusion, with judging instead taking place based on each individual's influence on London in their particular sphere. The UCL academics included in the list are all leaders in their area who conduct ground-breaking work across a variety of fields. Amongst those profiled is Professor Tariq Enver (UCL Cancer Institute). Professor Enver's work as director of the UCL Cancer Institute includes leading a "grand coalition" in the war on cancer and encouraging closer working relations between UCL, King's College London, Queen Mary University of London and the Francis Crick Institute. Also chosen is Dr Leonie Tanczer (UCL STEaPP).
