Research Images as Art/Art Images as Research competition now open

UCL graduate students and academic staff are invited to submit their research images with aesthetic and artistic appeal for this year's 'Research Images as Art/Art Images as Research' Competition and Exhibition. The annual competition organised by the UCL Doctoral School is open to all UCL graduate students and academic staff both science and arts based. The closing date for all entries is Friday 14 November 2014. The images will be displayed in an exhibition in the South Cloisters from 4 to 12 December 2014 and will also appear on the Graduate School and main UCL web sites. The winners of the competition will be announced at a prize-giving reception on Tuesday 9 December. Prizes for this year's competition include: First Prize - £250 Six Runners-up Prizes - £150 each The People's Choice Prize - £50 Waterstone's Token The winning images will be selected by panel on the basis of their aesthetic appeal, the nature of their subject matter and technical quality.
